Any jewelers or consumers have any opinions on diamond simulant jewelry or engagement rings?
I'm loving the betterthandiamonds.com 1895 cartier replica with 2 carat asha center for somewhere around $3,500. The setting and band are about 3,000 but platinum and covered with high quality realdiamonds. Will people know the center is fake? How long will it last? Will I need to replace the asha often?
I know I could get a carat solitare for 3500. I was thinking of getting this particular bridal set because the wedding band and setting are platinum and all diamond. The only fake part is the center stone for a few hundred rather than a few thousand. I love this set, but I know I could get a real solitare for a similar price... confused 
Asha has a great reputation. There is nothing wrong with a stimulant diamond and it should last for a very long time. Most lay people not in the industry will know it is fake.
