how I do Gane Mokume?
Mokume-gane (木 目 金) is a mixed-metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns. Literally translated as "the eye of wood (ie blackberry) metal", the name was borrowed from one type of pattern created in the forging of swords and other weapons. First made in 17th century Japan, the mixed metal was used only for connections to sword the Meiji era, when the decline of the industry katana forced artisans to create purely decorative elements instead. The inventor, Denbei SHOAM, originally called the product "guri bori" the likeness of his simplest form of "guri", a type of lacquer carved with alternating layers of red and black. Other historical names for her were Kasumi-uchi (cloud of metal), Itami-sheath (wood grain metal), and yosefuki. (Pijanowski & Pijanowski, 2001) The traditional metal components were relatively flexible elements and alloys - gold, copper, silver, Shakudo, and shibuichi kuromido - this that would be liquid phase diffusion bonds with each other without completely melting.
